A Single Point of Contact for Your Entire Move
Most moving stress does not come from lifting boxes. It comes from uncertainty — not knowing who to call, repeating your requirements to a different person each time, and discovering on moving day that something important was never written down. Relocation Masters removes that uncertainty by assigning every client a dedicated relocation manager: one experienced coordinator who owns your move from the first phone call until you are settled in your new home or office.
Your relocation manager is not a call-centre agent or a salesperson who disappears after the quote. They are a hands-on move coordinator who surveys your home, builds your moving plan, briefs the crew, supervises the day, and follows up afterwards to make sure everything arrived exactly as it should. When you have a question — about timing, packing, access, insurance or storage — you call one person who already knows your move inside out. That is the difference between a removal and a managed relocation.
This level of personal relocation management is standard on every Relocation Masters move across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the rest of Gauteng, whether you are moving a two-bedroom apartment, a family estate, a corporate office or relocating long distance to another province.
What Your Relocation Manager Handles
Your dedicated relocation manager carries the full mental map of your move so you do not have to. Their responsibilities span three clear phases — the planning before moving day, the supervision on the day itself, and the handover and follow-up afterwards.
Before Your MoveSurvey, fixed quotation, master moving plan, scheduling, packing strategy and materials, access & documentation.
On Moving DayCrew briefing, on-site supervision, protection of your home, loading sequence, inventory & live communication.
After Your MoveDelivery, placement, reassembly, unpacking coordination, storage handling and post-move follow-up.
Before your move — planning & preparation
- Pre-move survey & consultation. Your manager visits (or conducts a video survey) to see exactly what is being moved, identify fragile, high-value and bulky items, and understand your priorities and timeline.
- A clear, fixed quotation. They translate the survey into a transparent, itemised quote with no surprises on the day — including packing, materials, specialist handling and any storage you may need.
- A written moving plan. Dates, crew size, vehicle allocation, the order of work and a realistic timeline are all documented and shared with you so everyone is working from the same script.
- Packing strategy & materials. They decide what should be professionally packed, what needs special wrapping or crating, and ensure the right quantity of cartons, blankets and protective materials arrive ahead of time.
- Access & logistics arrangements. Booking lifts, clearing estate and complex access, arranging security clearance at booms, confirming parking for the truck and planning shuttle vehicles for tight driveways — all handled in advance.
- Inventory & documentation. A detailed inventory and condition record is prepared, and your manager confirms Goods-in-Transit insurance cover and any high-value declarations before a single box is loaded.
- Special items. Pianos, antiques, art, safes, gym equipment, wine collections and IT/server equipment are flagged early, with the correct crew, crating and protection allocated.
On moving day — supervision & control
- Crew briefing. Before work begins, your manager briefs the team on your specific plan — which items need extra care, the loading order, where things go at the other end and any access constraints.
- Protection of your property. Floor runners, door-frame guards and corner protection are put in place so neither your old nor your new home is marked during the move.
- Hands-on oversight. They remain on-site to supervise wrapping, dismantling, loading and the careful handling of fragile and heavy items — keeping the move on schedule and to standard.
- Your single point of contact. If anything changes during the day, you speak to one person who can make decisions on the spot, rather than chasing a switchboard.
- Live communication. You receive clear updates on progress, departure and estimated delivery times — especially valuable on a long-distance move where the truck travels overnight.
After your move — delivery, placement & follow-up
- Placement, not just delivery. Furniture is positioned in the right rooms, beds and major items are reassembled, and your manager checks everything against the inventory.
- Unpacking coordination. If you have booked unpacking, the team places and unpacks to your instructions so you can settle in quickly.
- Storage handling. Where there is a gap between moves, your manager coordinates secure storage, keeps the inventory current and arranges re-delivery on your date.
- Snag resolution & follow-up. After the move they check in to confirm you are happy, resolve any outstanding items, and remain your point of contact for claims or queries.
